If you’re planning to catch NBA YoungBoy’s sold-out MASA Tour shows at the Smoothie King Center this Sunday, Oct. 19, or Monday, Oct. 20, there are several important things to know before you go — from security measures to traffic updates — as the city gears up with a major police deployment amid a tight budget.

No Bags Allowed

For safety and faster entry, all bags and purses are prohibited, including clear bags. Only essentials like cell phones, keys, and wallets/cardholders that you can carry on your person are allowed, according to the Smoothie King Center website.

The NOPD is deploying over 400 officers throughout Downtown and the French Quarter. Expect a strong security presence including walking patrols, mounted units, bicycles, tactical teams, drones, armored vehicles, and high-visibility patrols. Traffic & Street Closures
